Bible Truth Restored

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.           1 Peter 4:11

VALUE TRUTH

In our teaching of truth over the years, we have observed a number of different reactions to it. Some reject it as cult teaching; others can see it looks right, but never go further than that; while others instantly, or over time rejoice at the sense and revelation they can see in it.
These reactions represent what Jesus taught in the types of ground which received the word of God in Matt 13. The good ground represents those who hear, and understand and then also go on to produce fruit.

The truth of God is not something to just titillate us, but is to be understood and spread.
The desire of John as he writes in his letter (and obviously the desire of God who inspired John) was that we walk in truth:

3Jn 1:3  For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth.
3Jn 1:4  I have no greater joy than these things, to hear that my children walk in the truth.

The truth is powerful in the life of a believer - it sets us free (John 8 v 32), and as above, rejoices God's heart.

In our travels recently we have met a number of new brothers, who have been hearing the truth of God's word for the first time. It is very gratifying to hear that they are gathering together to study and learn more of the truth of God about his coming kingdom, the nature of sin and evil, and the nature of God himself.

Paul calls those like this who were open minded to listen and learn God's truth as "noble" - Acts 17 v 11.
We would encourage all who read our letters and books, to diligently study the scriptures to see if these things are so; rejoice in God's truth, and then to bear fruit.

2Ti 2:2  And what things you heard from me through many witnesses, commit these things to faithful men, such as will be competent also to teach others.
