Bible Truth Restored

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.           1 Peter 4:11

Bulletin - Dated 5th December 2013

Brother John Aldersley has just returned last week from a follow up trip to Sth Sudan. Brother Duncan Heaster had visited several months ago, and identified a God ordained opportunity to extend the true gospel into this newest country in the world.
John visited a contact called Joseph (top left picture - third from left) in Aweil where he had opportunity to share the truth of the kingdom of God, the oneness of God and the nature of the devil with some power point presentations in a thatched church building using a generator.
John met some brothers who seem keen to progress the truth including a Brother David (4th from left on top left pic) who, due to the war that ravaged the country until 2005; at the age of 24 is only now finishing highschool. David is a keen bible student and we pray he will grow strong in the word.
We joined in baptising 46 new believers.
In another town called Malakal in the Upper Nile region, John met Brother Amos and together taught 3 contacts - (bottom right pic pictured from left John, Haggai - other contact Nancy not shown. Far right is Amos). One contact called John, has since expressed desire to be baptised as commanded by the Lord.
Brother Amos is a mature christian in the truth already and God willing can help further this new work in Sth Sudan.
Some may ask: "Why do brethren sacrifice their time and resources to pursue such places for the truth ..."?
The best answer I know and must surely be an evengelist's biblical motto:

1Co 9:16 - 17:  For though I preach the gospel, no glory is to me. For necessity is laid on me; yea, woe is to me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly I have a reward.
But if I do it merely because I am obliged to it, I only discharge an office that is committed to me. For what then shall I be rewarded?

Heb 10:35  Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.

Pray for the continued work of the Lord's gospel as it enters Sth Sudan and around the world; and for the boldness and blessing on the brethren who take it.
